To work with Skype, its more simple. Goto Skype website, download skype for hardy … and then use it.. Nothing else to do for it…

hi na……..I can t hear sounds better on my Ubuntu ….wat to do??? In system ->preferences->sound.I have chosen oss for all and device is realtek….But i can hear sound as in windows.I am using lenovo laptop.
when i done hardware testing it shows that my sound card is intel….wat to do??
i also used alsa driver but no iprovements in sound..

If you couldnt find wvdial, It means the wvdial software is not installed. Download is and install it first.

anna i have been installed the virtual box for ubuntu intrepid by using the following deb pckage …. “virtualbox-2.1_2.1.2-41885_Ubuntu_intrepid_i386.deb”
but if i am opening the virtualbox in terminal it shows like the following

The program ‘virtualbox’ is currently not installed. You can install it by typing:
sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose
bash: virtualbox: command not found
ramkumar@ramkumar-desktop:~/Desktop$
y it s asking for “virtualbox-ose” what mean that ose..
You type “VirtualBox” instead of “virtualbox”. Case sensitive.
OSE is nothing but Open Source Edition
And regarding cache, are u asking about the cache where the downloaded deb files are stored. Do you mean this “/var/cache/apt/archieves”.??
